Ogden increases opportunities for students with STEM programs, technology, and improved buildings.

Ogden School District constantly strives to create an excellent learning environment for its students. In an effort to continue to improve students’ learning experiences, Ogden School District recently completed initiatives to improve school buildings and campuses. These updates include:

1 to 1 initiative

One of the ways the District is working to improve student’s experiences through its 1 to 1 initiative. This means the District has a goal to provide a device such as a tablet or a Google Chromebook to each student. This gives students the opportunity to improve skills and develop digital literacy.

Collaboration Space for Students and Teachers

The District has also created collaboration spaces for teachers and students to encourage open conversation and more meaningful learning. Physical design and innovative methods help students stay interested and engaged.

STEAM Labs to Promote Project-Based Learning

Ogden School District has also incorporated STEAM labs in schools to help pique student’s interests in STEM-related topics as well as encourage project-based learning. STEAM (which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) focuses on project-based experiences that allow students to learn through investigating real-world problems to find actual solutions.

The District is working to improve the design, technology, and safety in all of its schools. Through these initiatives, the Ogden School District will help students learn and reach their goals in the best environment.
