EVSE Australia Develops New Adaptor for Tesla’s Gen 2 UMC Portable Chargers
Sydney, NSW – July 17, 2020 – A portable charger allows users to conveniently plug into power points across Australia with 10Amp, 15Amp and 32Amp power points available. Electric vehicles as an emerging technology are yet to have the established network of fast charging infrastructure which makes having fast charging options essential for anyone using their EV.
When asked about this, “The Tesla UMC adapter tail provides a superior charging speed compared to the 10amp and 15amp tails. This results in an improved power output of 7kW for single phase, this is equivalent to 40km per hour of charge. This allows the driver to confidently navigate through long distances without the discontent of compatibility of the chargers,” said the spokesperson of EVSE Australia.
Using this product, drivers are able to worry less about range and charging compatibility and focus more on the journey. Almost every Australian showground has access to a 32 Amp powerpoint and therefore the ability to charge anywhere. Combined with the massive network of Tesla chargers, the Tesla Mobile Connector adapter tail gives drivers less range anxiety.
The user can determine the requirements of the adapter, as it comes with both a single phase and 3 phase plug version (Both deliver 7kW 40km/hour of range.). In the case of 3 phase which are mainly made available to commercial and industrial sites, the Tesla adaptor will only draw single phase current.
The spokesperson also added, “This adaptor can be widely used in the public infrastructure mainly leisurely destination like camping grounds, hotels and restaurant. Tesla also provides superchargers and destination Tesla charging stations.”
As the future of electric cars is highly dependent on its charging applications, fast charging will become a new normal. The Tesla portable adaptor allows a seamless integration with the Tesla mobile connector and allows the current to be drawn and supplied to the onboard battery of the car in the safest way as possible. The attachment and removal of the adapter to the charger is effortless and easy. By aligning the connector with the charger and pushing it into the socket until it is snapped into position.
