Online Wall Art Shop Orb.co Offers Customers a Free Resort Stay to Use Now or Save For Later
When Orb.co founder Aaron King created a wall art shop featuring beautiful nature photography, his mission was clear: Get nature’s beauty into homes everywhere.
“We believe deeply in the power of nature’s beauty,” Aaron explains. “Have you noticed the peace and serenity you feel in the great outdoors? That’s the feeling we want to put into homes. There’s a palpable difference when you put something beautiful on your wall, and every human deserves that feeling in his or her life.”
But not everyone is shopping for wall art. So the Orb.co team knew they’d need something special to get customers excited. Aaron explains further, “That was our ‘Aha!’ moment. When we realized we could not only get nature onto people’s walls, but also give them a chance to put their feet in the sand, to feel the ocean breeze on their face, to watch the sun set over the horizon. It was a perfect fit.”
Knowing that most hotels and resorts don’t run at full capacity for most of the year, Orb.co set up a partnership to fill otherwise-empty hotel & resort rooms with guests. Even if those guests stay for free, the hotels would boost profits from other revenue-generating operations like the restaurant, bar, spa, or from guests staying extra days.
But the team at Orb.co doesn’t want customers walking into this blindly. It’s important that customers understand what the offer covers and how it works. For example, while the offer does cover the resort stay, it doesn’t cover airfare, food, or the resort taxes & fees. And since it’s made possible by helping resorts fill rooms that would have sat empty, some dates won’t be available to be booked. However, there are no timeshare presentations to attend.
